Well the clock have moved forward, so we where out relatively early, and we got to see a fair amount of wild life:
Gold Finch, Chaffinch, Song Thrush, Yellowhammer, all the released pheasants....Grey Squirrel but the highlight was a weasel hunting rabbits. Saw the distinctive chestnut and creamy markings as the Weasel looked towards me, as he sat in the verge beside the quiet country lane i has traversing. Over the hedge that bound the verge I could see a fair few rabbits in the field beyond nibbling at the grass. The Weasel slunked under the hedge and into the field and the rabbit's scattered, couldn't see the outcome of the weasel's action's but my the reaction of the rabbits i guess he missed his breakfast. The route was Clatford's, Fullerton cross roads, Kentboro, Grately, Monxton, Abbots Ann and Anna Fields. 29.28Km with 237 Metres of Ascent

Another lovely morning of cycling once the storm clouds had been swept away.Did the standard loop of Anna Valley,
Abbots Anne, Moxton, Grately, Nether Wallop, Broughton. Due to the flooding in the lower part of the Test Valley, rather than joining the Test Way at Horsebridge we cut parallel through Houghton up to Stockbridge. Had a very pleasant stroll down the Stockbridge high street and then back onto the Test Way up to Chilbolton Common. All the storm damaged trees had been cleared away so it was an easy ride. The Fullerton Hill proved sometimes you need a granny ring which we lost when we went to 1x9. So pushed the Bike up the first steep part and then rode the rest to the top. With all the road time maybe i might have to apply the N+1 bike rule, and get a CX bike. 46 Kilometres in 2 hours 44 Minutes (Includes the stroll along the Stockbridge High Street), and ascent of 354 Metres. The sun has come out and it is a joy, the warmth of the sun upon my face this morning as I got on the bike post a nasty bout of man flu was a tonic for the soul. A short loop of 15 Kilometres with 132 metres of ascent just what the Doctor ordered. The change in the weather had also brought out the bird life and got to see a male Yellowhammer up close and personal amongst the normal spots we see on our way along the Hampshire lanes and byways. It was good to have gotten out even if it was only for an hour, as it is much too easy not to get on the bike when not feeling so great.
