So with the advent of the HONC in a couple of weeks, the realisation that I haven't been putting enough mile in as meant I bought a RSP Plummet Dropper Post to improve my mountain biking experience and get some more miles in.... The RSP Plummet seems a prefect for the Cube Sting, as the Sting has no internal routing options, and actually has external routing already planned in, via three cable clip points along the left hand side of the top tube. The RSP Plummet is as the budget end of the market, and the 125mm drop version I ordered only comes in external routing. ( I took advantage of an Ebay promotion which meant everything was 20% in the Sport and leisure category, so a budget dropper, became a very cheap purchase indeed.) The Dropper arrived with the cabling already installed and it was a matter of a 10 minute job, to swap the saddle over and attach the rather agricultural trigger to the handlebars. The action seems pretty smooth, but as I haven't ever used a dropper post before I can't really comment on it's performance just yet. I wonder how it's going to contend with the Hampshire grit?
