So according to Strava, I completed 77 rides with a distance of 2481 kilometres with 15,662 metres of evalation in 138 hours in 2016. No bad I suppose considering I didn't ride in August due to the knee injury I picked up on the BHF South Downs Way challenge. Other notable acheivements of the cycling year would be assembling my own bicycle from bits I had and a new Mango Bikes Point AR frame. So what to look forward to in the coming year? Well have a couple of events I want to try out - Wild Boar Chase in the Forest of Dean and the Hell of the North Cotswolds, Veloviewer presents the stats in a more friendly infographic.

Broughton and back on a very very chilly morning, coldest it's been for a long time.
46 kilometres in two hours and twenty six minutes all told. Interesting if rather short story of Mountain Biking in the Britian, and currently available to view via Amazon Prime...
Winter Solstice ride, weather is still mild and wet. So 30km in oe hour and 31 minutes. Out to Kentboro, back via Grately, Quarly and Amport Woods. On a couple of byways around Amport there was quite a lot of mud, which proved not to be a problem, Well impressed with the Schwalde Land Cruiser tyres, got through the mud with no problems and ther self cleared easily on the country lanes between. Because I'm running rather large tyres there is no room for mudguards and so we got rather a soggy bottom, otherwise it proved to be a good enjoyable ride out.
One hour blast out to Thruxton and back. From Amport tok the Wiremead Lane under the A303 to Thruxton, back via Fyfield and Weyhill.
28km loop out to Danebury and back via Kentboro and Monxton. Took one hour and twenty one minutes to complete on a grey morning.
Early out on a frosty morning, the roads where covered in frost and a little icy but the bike as stable, the advantge of 40C tyres on the bike means it's not so twitchy. So out via Anna Valley and Monxton and then through Amport to Furzedown and onto Quarley and Grately back into Monxton via Board Road and then home. 34.4 km in one hour and forty four minutes, found a new byway at London Hill which was an added bonus.
