Sunday Morning ride was shrouded in mist all the way round the 32 kilometres, did a southern loop out of Andover which covered some of the Testway. The ride was cut short by the loss of power to the rear brake, so this made descending the local hills some what eventful, but we got home in one piece. The rear brake's handle grip was coming back right to the handlebar with no really effect, so it will need a bleed and retest. Have had to order a Shimano Bleed Kit. So the investigation will await it's arrival.
Bleed Kit arrived and using the very informative guide from Epic Bleed Solutions was able to resolve the issue of loss of power on the back brake very easily.

Our via the N246 route then through Anna Valley, Monxton, Weyhill and Clanville. Up onto the Chute Causeway and headed towards Oxenwood, but then cut short across the Slay and Fosbury Hill and then back down the Bourne valley to Chilbolton via the Hurstbournes, Longparish, Werwell and the Clatfords. The only new addition was at Cottonworth took the A road towards Andover and then cut onto the permissive right of way which leads down towards the River Anton and pops out at Goodworth Clatford. It was an interesting little addition, unfortunately it runs pass the local Sewerage works and air proved to be rather pungent.
63.3 Kilometres in 3 hours and 34 minutes with 375 metres of elevation. A glorious morning for a ride, it had been clear over night so it was a rather chilly start but soon warmed up. Was out for three hours and covered 53 kilometres .The route covered the usual out of Andover via the N246 then through Anna Valley and Monxton, then cut across to Weyhill on the Monxton Lane, cycled back towards Andover and tried a bridleway I'd cycled pasted the entrance of many times down to Penton Mewsey, then on to Hatherden and Wildhern. The plan from Wildhern was then to drop down into the Broune Valley at Upton and then cycle back down the valley passing through Hurstbourne Tarrant, St Mary Bourne, Husrtbourne Priors, Longparish and Chilbolton before coming back into Andover via the Clatfords. Unfortunately the phone battery didin't last the ride so no photographs where taken, nor accurate record of the time/speed etc was possible - not that it matter as it was a very pleasant morning to be out, and the route and a few new bits in it interesting.
